Riverbend Bridge Community
The Navigation Center will provide a progressive sheltering system for every individual trapped in shelterlessness in Madison County to live barrier-free 24/7/365 days a year while receiving needed services that help the individual reach and maintain the highest level of stability the person can achieve.

Project Overview

Purchase a farm with a house, outbuildings, and at least 50 acres of land.

Farm located in a low-traffic rural setting.

Separated from other housing.

Shelters Adults. No children under eighteen are allowed on the property.

Provide approved camping spaces for individuals trapped in shelterlessness.

One secure storage compartment for each person.

Remodel an outbuilding or build a community service building called the "Lodge" with a kitchen, dining area, bathrooms, sleeping accommodations, showers, laundry facilities, fireplace, recreation area, offices, counseling rooms, and meeting areas for up to two hundred people.

A police substation.

One full-time employee 24/7/365 days a year for Lodge supervising.

At least two volunteers 24/7/365 days a year to help oversee the lodge.

A T3 team for every resident.

One full-time maintenance person.

One full-time cook.

Two minivans for outreach and resident transport.

One pickup for hauling.

Build a Community of Growth & Opportunity
The Riverbend Bridge Community will provide a full kitchen, work area for skill-building and on-site couselors to support individuals in their journey. Residents will have opportunities to learn trades, gain job placement asisstance, and develop essential life skills.
With garden areas for growing food, cooking classes community cleanup efforts, and outdoor recreation spaces, this community will foster self-sufficiency, connection, and stability for those rebuilding their lives.
